Windows in the Holy Land

Happy Monday All! :)

Earlier this year my husband and I had the wonderful privilege to go to Israel! We were there for three weeks and went to over 70 sites. It was a very busy trip, but well worth it... and yes, we took LOTS of pictures!  I am slowly working on getting them edited and compiled into an album.

Here is are a few shots from our journey to the Holy Land:
This was taken in the Old City of Jerusalem. We were leaving Saint Annes Church and I saw these beautiful teal windows and shutters... and I had to take a photo.

This next one was also taken in the Old City of Jerusalem outside of the Gloria Hotel, where we stayed for a few days. (I have a thing for pretty windows.)

Things I Love... 2

It's been a few months since I have written on "Things I Love". First one was here.
It's a way for you to get to know me a bit better, hopefully. There really are tons of things on my "Love List" So here are a few that I'll share this time:

Butterscoth Scones.
Last night, I made scones for the very first time... and they turned out amazing. The recipe is found here. I altered the recipe only a little by changing the chocolate chips to butterscoth chips. Oh and instead of wedges they were hearts. They just melt in your mouth.

My Highschool Sweetheart
Ok.. I know I "Loved" him last time I did this... But this week was a special one for us... on Monday, we celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary! To celebrate our love.. here's a picture from our wedding day.

Granted they do not have the selection they once had, but to watch a movie or a tv series with out having to skip through commercials is SO wonderful. We have had Netflix for 2 years now and love it. I can even watch it on my iPhone.

Family Portraits: Martha, Daniel, Ava

It was a beautiful So Cal day, sun shining, cool breeze off the ocean... Perfect to take family portraits!
Will Rogers State Park in LA was a great location... nice green grass, tall shade trees, very well kept.
I had such an enjoyable afternoon talking, laughing, and taking their pictures. Daniel is at UCLA studying to be doctor, Martha is busy at home watching Ava and taking care of the home.
They are such an adorable and sweet family.

Adorable Little Ava!

Wedding: Heather & Josh (Part 2)

There were SO many pictures that I wanted  to share of Heather & Josh's wedding. Early on, in my editing process, I decided to split the posts in to two parts. Part 1 was posted last week... which included: The Getting Ready Shots, The First Look, & The Formal Portraits. Now its time for The Ceremony, Reception, & Newlywed Shots... 'What are newlywed shots?' They are shots taken after the wedding, the first formal shots taken as newlyweds- Husband & Wife. It was GREAT to be able to spend more time with this precious couple.

The Ceremony was held at Faith Community Church in Newhall, CA.
It was such a Beautiful Church!

These girls were SO cute!

And these two little guys were just Adorable!

He swept her off her feet! :)

The Reception.. Was held downstairs at the church. The Wedding Coordinator, Brittney, did a wonderful job at getting everything just perfect. She also kept things running on schedule.
Thank You Brittney, it was a pleasure working along side you.

The Wedding Cupcakes...

First Dance as Husband & Wife...

The celebration of Heather & Josh's wedding was enjoyed by all!

I Just LOVE Bubble Exits...

The Newlywed Shots... For these pictures we went to Gilbert Drive,
A special spot Heather & Josh picked out.
It was a great opportunity to capture more Bride & Groom shots.

Heather... Seriously... you're Gorgeous!!

And My Favorite Shot of the Day...

Happy Thursday!

Wedding: Heather & Josh (Part 1)

I am SO excited to finally post & share these photos! I loved capturing Heather & Josh's wedding. They are such a sweet, adorable couple and their families were just as sweet and adorable... they welcomed me into their lives, I felt like part of the family by the end of the day. Thank you!
This was my first wedding that I have ever shot. Heather & Josh knew this and trusted me anyways... to capture the most important day of their lives! It was a blessing! Heather & Josh... Thank you for trusting me and giving me this opportunity, I hope you enjoy all the photos.

I cannot go any further with out saying a special and huge THANK YOU to my husband, Ryan, not only was he ever so patient with me preparing for this day, but he was my second shooter! Thank you for all your help and encouragement. I couldn't have done it with out you! I love you!

Now with out any more delay... Heather & Josh's Wedding... Part 1:
We started the day at the Hilton Garden Inn in Valencia, CA, where everyone was getting ready...

Heather wore a bohemian veil, which looked amazing on her...

Heather, you are Beautiful, my dear...

Ryan was with the guys as they got ready...

Josh writing out his vows...Yes it says.. "Surfing Adventures" :) Oooh... So Adorable!

Heather & Josh chose to do a First Look, for those of you who do not know what that is... they opted to see each other for the first time before the ceremony. Now a days a lot of couples are deciding to do this.
It allows the bride and groom more alone time together and more time for formal portraits.

Heather & Josh got married at Faith Community Church in Newhall, CA...
The church had this charming spot out back which was perfect for the First Look...

I LOVE the look on Josh's face!

I LOVED the lighting, it was so romantic...

These are a few of my favorite shots from the day...

Heather made these adorable signs.

You both are Gorgeous by the way! :)

The Bridal Party was wonderful to work with... Thank you guys for being so warm & friendly! :)

The Bride with her Bridesmaids. I just adore their lace dresses!!

I just LOVE the light in this shot...

I was literally laying in the leaves for this picture... it was TOTALLY worth it! :)

The  Groom with his Groomsmen. You guys are awesome models by the way!

And Finishing up Part 1... with one of my favorite shots from the day...

This wedding was SO much fun to shoot and I am SO excited to share Part 2 next week...
It which will include Ceremony, Reception, and Newlywed Shots!!

Happy Friday!
